Luigi Melecchi - Producer
Luigi Melecchi is the managing director of Fataka International, established in 2005 after a long working experience as independent executive producer and production manager. Luigi has, in fact, a ten years experience in the film, documentary and art industry, where he has worked as production manager amongst the others on Bernardo Bertolucci’s ‘Besieged’ (african unit) and as location manager ‘The Triumph of Love’ - a film by Clare People, produced by Bertolucci. Producer for over 30 hours of documentaries for the Italian satellite channels Rai Sat Art and Sky. Producer for live performances and art events, as Capalbio International Short Film Festival 2003, and for the Italian worldwide famous singer Andrea Bocelli for whom he produced the first Asia Tour 2003-04: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Manila. Bertolucci Images, photographs from the set, published by Maria Pacini Fazzi editore 2001, was his first book project. Fataka International has its operative offices in Rome and Shanghai, where Luigi’s partner , American director Eric Ransdell, lives and works.
